Privacy Policy

Short, because the site does very little. No accounts, no mailing list, no selling anything to anyone.

Who we are

What we collect

If you use the contact form

The name, email address and message you type. They are sent to us by email so we can reply, and that is the only thing they are used for. We do not add contact-form addresses to any mailing list — there is no mailing list.

The form also records the moment the page loaded, which is used solely to tell an automated submission from a human one, and your IP address is used to rate-limit submissions. Neither is stored beyond that purpose.

If you just read the site

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful. It collects the usual analytics information — pages viewed, rough location from IP, device and browser type, and how you arrived. We use it in aggregate; we do not attempt to identify individual readers and we do not sell or share analytics data.

Google sets its own cookies for this. If you would rather not be counted, browser settings, ad blockers and Google's own opt-out add-on all work, and nothing on this site stops working if you use them.

What we do not do

  • No accounts, logins or user profiles. There is nothing to sign up for.
  • No newsletter, and no email capture of any kind.
  • No selling, renting or sharing of personal information. Ever.
  • No payment processing — we do not sell anything, so we never see card details.
  • No advertising network, retargeting pixels or behavioral ad tracking.

Affiliate links

Product links on this site pass through our own /go/ redirect and on to a retailer, usually Amazon. The redirect adds our Associates tracking identifier so the retailer can attribute a purchase to this site. It does not read anything about you, and it stores nothing.

Once you arrive at the retailer you are subject to their privacy policy and their cookies, not ours. Amazon publishes its own privacy notice. The affiliate disclosure explains how the links work and what they do not change.

Images and embedded content

Photographs on this site are licensed stock images served from our own domain. The site does not embed third-party video, social widgets, comment systems or fonts loaded from another company's server — the typefaces are served from this domain, so no font provider sees your visit.

Children

This site is written for adults buying exercise equipment and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. In practice we hold almost nothing: unless you have emailed us or used the contact form, there is nothing associated with you at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will be noted on the page rather than made quietly, which is the same standard the editorial policy holds the rest of the site to.
