That last number is the point. We choose on published criteria and say so, rather than claiming hours with products we have not used.

What won, and what it won

The top pick from every ranked list on the site. Each one links to the full write-up, including the honest limitation we name on every product. How the ranking works.

We earn a commission when you buy through links on this page, at no extra cost to you. It never decides a ranking: the method is published. How we are funded

Why this site

What we do, and what we do not

Four things that are true about how this site works. None of them is a testing claim, because we do not test.

  • We publish the criteria

Grip, cushioning, size options, what buyers report a year in, and whether the thing is still sold. The full method and weighting is on one page, and every roundup links to it.

  • We say what we have not done

We have not used most of these products and we do not claim to have. Every specification on a product card is labeled as the manufacturer's own figure, not a measurement of ours.

  • Every pick names its drawback

There is a “skip it if” line on every single product on this site. A list where nothing has a flaw is an advertisement wearing a list's clothes.

  • We do not print prices we cannot verify

Prices are set by Amazon and change constantly, so every figure on a buy button comes straight from Amazon's own data and is dated. When we cannot verify one, the button says “check price” rather than a number that would be wrong by next week. How we are funded.

How this site is paid for

Pose & Pause is an Amazon Associate and earns commission from qualifying purchases made through links on this site. It costs you nothing extra, and it is the only way the site is funded — nobody pays for a place on a list, and no product has been supplied free in exchange for coverage.

Commission never decides a ranking. Where a cheaper option is the better buy, it wins, and we say so. How we pick sets out the criteria, and the affiliate disclosure is the long version.
